Lefkos Village
The charming seaside fishing village of Lefkos, 33 km northwest of capital of Pigadia. Visitors will find three bays with white sand beaches with emerald waters. Lefkos is full of coves with turquoise waters and white sandy beach under unique rock formations.
Approaching Lefkos the road leads the first of the numerous beaches in the region. Akroyiali or Portali; an organized beach with very few bathers. The main beach of Lefkos is on horseshoe-shaped cove with amazing white sand with organized facilities. The water is calm and shallow and is not ruffled by any wind. On the side of the cove opposite the beach, there are a few houses, coffee shops and taverns . The second cove is secluded through a little peninsula and a rocky islet. Here is an organized sandy beach called Frankolimionas.
On the islet of Sokastro remains since the byzantine and medieval periods can be found. Ruins of houses have been discovered and, some distance from the coast, is the byzantine Church of Siant George Built in the 13th century.
Mesochori Village
Mesochori is roughly in the middle of the island for this reason it’s name and it is 34km from the capital of Karpathos. The village was reserved its customs and manners many of which are similar to those of Olympus. Its 400 permanent residents are mainly engaged in hospitality, farming and not as much of with sheep and goat herding. The village is enclosed by olive groves and vineyards and makes great quantities of olive oil and wine.
White houses with their country yards full of flowers. Lots of of them are traditional and have the outdoor covered with pebble mosaics. On the interior wood is the decorative element that dominates. There are many churches in Mesochori with the most important church perhaps on the entire island is Panayia Vrisiani which is named because it is built over the only spring in Mesochori. Its feast day is celebrated on 8 September, when people get together here to attend the most splendid festival on the island, with food and an all-night party with local dances and songs.

Beaches for Swimming
Beaches such as Lefkos(Mesochori), Kira-Panaghia (Aperi),Agios Nicolaos (Arkassa), Amopi (Menetes), Achata (Aperi), Apella (Vollada) are the most organized with taverns, umbrellas and beach beds . Less touristic and rather isolated are the beaches of Diakoptis(Afiartis), Kamarakia and Agios Georgios.

Karpathos Island has a diversity of sea life and is one of the greatest places for scuba diving. Go scuba diving into a colorful underwater world, to discover hidden treasures , experience the endless blue, or explore ship wrecks lying on the seabed more than hundred years.
Wind Surfing
Strong winds, deep bright blue waters with no surge, wide sandy beaches, and temperate weather. The already well acknowledged to surfers around the world Karpathos island, is an official destination from the time when the island hosted the Speed Windsurfing World Championship in 2006. The best beaches suitable for windsurfing are in Afiartis.
Folklore Fests
Karpathos compose a living folkloric museum. All the celebrations during the year, provide a particular liveliness to the villages and the secluded little churches, gathering all the residents, the emigrants as well as the visitors, to pure festivities enduring many days, where the traditional music organs, the local wine and the traditional food, dominate.
