The Varos Village Hotel & Suites in Lemnos is proud to offer all guests a truly unique experience like no other on the beautiful island of Lemnos. Their goal is to provide the most authentic experience of Greek hospitality possible.
In 2010, a Greek developer had a unique vision to breathe life back into the forgotten and neglected village of Varos. Using his expertise as a civil engineer, he lovingly restored and modernized the village, whilst at the same time preserving its traditional Lemnian magic and charm. And thus, the Varos Village Hotel & Suites was born!
Traditional houses and the windmills in the village have been remodelled into high quality spacious holiday rooms and suites accommodation, equipped with all the modern facilities you would expect from a luxury hotel in Lemnos.
The hotel’s rooms and suites are located in different positions throughout the village, with each building and room providing its own fascinating character and history. The village hotel epitomises traditional Lemnian village style, with earthy colours , volcanic stones, and tiles made from famous Lemnia Terra clay which were carefully preserved and reused by local craftsmen during the restoration.

The hotel has 44 Rooms and Suites, divided into two areas, the “Pool & Suites” Area and the “Traditional Village Residences”, which are located within the real village, 150-750 meters from the central facilities. All Rooms & Suites can accommodate couples, families, friends, and professionals. They feature a courtyard, terrace or private Serra with sea view to the Aegean Sea or into the beautiful gardens of the Traditional Residences in the village. Special attention has been paid to the decoration and lighting in the rooms and public areas, to create a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere, and room amenities include all the modern comforts. Great care is taken to ensure that rooms and public areas are cleaned daily.

If sleep is the first experience you have when arriving in Varos Village, then the breakfast, the most important meal of the day, is the next top experience! Varos Village breakfasts are the perfect start to the day, and feature the rich produce of the island of Lemnos. They offer: a selection of breads and rusks made from local flour, traditional pies, omelets prepared with fresh eggs and seasonal vegetables, local cheeses made from sheep’s and goat’s milk, thyme honey, homemade marmalades, tahini, yoghurt from sheep milk, and fresh fruits from their garden. All these delicacies are spread onto monastic tables, providing the best advertisement of Greek goods to guests from abroad and reminding us all of the importance of returning to our roots once in a while.
Veranda Restaurant
The Chef and his team, inspired by Lemnos’ rich culinary heritage, serve a range of traditional dishes based on the lush flavors of the island. Cheese, local beans, pasta, poultry, lamb, fish, and muscat wine are just some of the well-known and sought-after products that have been prized for centuries. Adding freshly cut vegetables, fruits and herbs from the restaurant’s organic gardens, the chef creates daily dishes that are a feast for the both the tastebuds and the eyes. The extensive wine list together with a wide variety of ouzo & tsipoura guarantee you will be able to select a beverage which will perfectly compliment the rich flavours of your chosen dish. We take great pride in the fact that Veranda Restaurant has been certified with the award for “Taste & Quality of Greek cuisine” from the Greek Tourism Organisation.
Elia Pool Restaurant
Enjoy fresh healthy sandwiches and salads, “souvlaki” (a Greek grilled delicacy) and traditional local snacks along with refreshments and chilled Lemnian wines in the Elia Pool Bar Restaurant. Relax with a swim in the pool, or savour the sunset view and then night sky with a glass of sweet Muscat wine or a lovingly prepared authentic Greek cocktail creation.
Traditional Corner
The Traditional Corner is situated in “Lemnian Gaea”, next to the pool. Here you can enjoy a wide range of foods and wines by small-scale artisanal Greek producers. These traditional recipes are made following local recipes, and include such delights as: traditional pasta, homemade marmalades and sweets, pure local thyme honey, aromatic herbs, Lemnian wines, and local cheese. In the Traditional Corner you can also find ceramic handmade creations of Terra Lemnian, such as works of art, sculptures and unique gifts designed and hand-crafted by Lemnian artists.
