This magnificent hotel occupies a gorgeous stretch of coast that gently curls into two coves of fine golden sand lapped by pristine waters.
It is a perfect location, offering easy access to Heraklion's international airport and the world famous archaeological site at the Palace of Knossos, 18km and 30km away respectively.

Only the freshest ingredients and the finest make the cut—literally, as they slice their home-cured meats on the plate just for you. But the real piece de resistance is the menu of made-to-order egg dishes that goes beyond feather-light omelets—and yes, they serve those too.
These selections are truly divine, from a farmhouse-style Cretan scramble with vine-ripened tomatoes and oregano picked from the kitchen garden to an extraordinary version of eggs benedict with smoked salmon or bacon and poached eggs drizzled with truffle oil served with artichoke puree. Yum!

Minotaur, Stylish Italian Cuisine
Pablo Picasso drew himself as a Minotaur, the mythical half-man half-taurus(bull) creature that lived in the Labyrinth of the palace of Knossos, a few kilometers from Amirandes. He adored ceramics and created them for 25 years (1947-1973).
