Moraitika
The village Moraitika is located 20 km south of Corfu Town and extends along the coastal road which connects Corfu Town and Lefkimmi in the south of the island. Due to the large influx of tourists during the last 30 years, Moraitika has developed and become one of the most popular tourist destinations on Corfu.
Moraitika is divided into 3 parts. First, the old village is a residential area, where the homes of the locals can be found along with a few traditional tavernas. Its narrow streets and small, picturesque dwellings are covered in flowers. In contrast the town centre, along the main road, is buzzing with nightlife and has a variety of tavernas, restaurants, bars and shops. Lastly, the coastal part of the village is where the sandy beaches of Moraitika can be found as well as a variety of hotel resorts and apartments.
